A. Income is not income, Revenue or income as you say does not translate to profits.
This freezable business costs more to operate, period. The only saving grace for this type of business is the hope that you will handle this customer the rest of the year as well.
Why do you think every year they threaten to stop picking up the customers that only ship in the cold months?

B. If the real estate market has crashed in the North East why would they pick now to sell the facilities??? This makes absolutely no sense.

Let's be clear on a couple of things.

We have blown the doors off of our financial benchmarks since October. Well b4 the freeze. Plain and simple, tonnage and revenue have continued to grow, as many of our competitors have not.

As for our freezable's, we are well compensated for the service and many; No MOST of the client base who utilize it ship year round. Most recently, we've landed Lowes' paint business year round,based on the pff.

Next, the real estate comment. The market in the Northeast has not "crashed". It has stabilized, plateuaed, however you want to say. The property is worth a ton.We aren't liquidating anything. We signed a 40 year lease. This maneuver puts us in position to GROW Jevic.

Look genius, no one is blind here. Sun bought us to make a healthy profit. That's what they do.

Liquidating us makes no sense. SCS could have done it themselves.

In order for Sun to get the best bang for the buck is to grow us into a half billion $ company. Then they can cash in.

It's a win win. We succeed, so do they. If the coolaid doesn't taste so good, that's ok.

We got people knocking down the door to join us. In all positions. So don't sweat it, we'll be ok without you.

hi hehateme the cold weather freight usualy produces a couple of new customers at the beginning of good weather.Plus makeing hay while the sun is shinning helps to equal out the slow times. The matter of selling the terminal's did'nt make a lote of sents to me ether but that why I deliver the frieght an not run the co.Hope it works out!!
