CO.Cell phone causes Conway Rollover.

Getting into a wreak = MOUTH SHUT

Yeah, I hear that, for sure.

BTW, out here in CA we have had a stupid "cell-phone law" since Jan 08, but the police and CHP are totally exempt from using their own personal cell-phones from calling anyone they want to, not just work related.

Yeap, that means they can call the old lady or their girlfriends while on patrol.

How is that fair or "safe"?

IMO, a driver should use discretion in making a call and be willing to throw the phone down or turn it off and DRIVE, if there is any reason too at all.

BTW, drivers with company Nextel's are exempt. Huh ??????

Seriously, if this country keeps going going on with all these "safety laws", the pencil pushing politicians will be banning CB radio use in the future, IMO.

Now how is that going to help drivers stay awake or relieve some stress out on the roadways?

Thats a great idea and legal too.

The problems stem from the fact that when people talk on the cellphone, its just like talking on a phone, safety-wise.

A CB requires a two-way, on/off communication and the studies seem to show that using a wireless ear or head piece for a cellphone doesn't significantly reduce traffic accidents because of those facts.

BTW, for anyone reading this, I recommend the Mil-Spec "Jawbone" bluetooth earpiece. This unit cuts of the worse background noise possible.

that blueparrott has NO, NONE, NOTHING for back ground noise. the 250 will talk 10 to 13 hours WITHOUT a recharge. the jawbone does have truck noise.
with the blueparrott 250 you can stand in front of the truck kiss the grill with the motor running and noone will hear it. i've tried. loves has them on sale for 89.oo.
99.oo everywhere else 107.00 with tax

Ya know, it's funny all these new laws forbidding cell phone use while driving.

Ranger, the police using cell phones while there on patrol. You have to remember, there above the law.:hysterical:

Our co. has rules, you cant talk on a cell phone unless you are not driving, hand held or ear piece.

Yet, our P&D uses the blackberry to communicate with our drivers, and that's ok to use them while driving.:hysterical:

Yeah, one law for us and another for the police, like always.

We had two police unions fighting over a DUI that a cop got on his own time. They were threatening "war" if he was charged for it. Sounds like a street gang to me.

Blackberry's for P&D use? Aren't those kind of fraigile compared to a Nextel for industrial work like ours? Nice phone though!

Those are good specs for a bluetooth headpiece, for sure.

The Jawbone only goes about 6 hours talktime.
