ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Beginning October 9 for five days, thousands of employees of commercial freight transportation and logistics company, Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW - News), will make special deliveries to an estimated 800,000 young people in over 1,100 schools across the country.

In place of their usual delivery of shrink-wrapped palletized freight, Con-way employees will make anti-drug presentations to the students. The company's efforts support the Red Ribbon campaign, a nationwide anti-drug initiative that will be conducted later in the month. Some presenters will arrive at the schools in Con-way Freight tractors and trailers, which serve as an added attraction for the youngsters. Other activities will include face painting, pep rallies and puppet shows, all with an anti-drug theme.
