"It was only a few weeks ago that President Obama refused to consider any changes to Obamacare, forcing the government to shutdown for 16 days.

"Today, he made a 180-degree turn and announced a plan that, sadly, is too late for the more than 5 million Americans who have already received cancellation notices from insurance companies notifying them the plans they had are no longer available due to explicit provisions in Obamacare that made them illegal.

"We cannot 'fix' Obamacare. The damage has been done, as millions of Americans have already been made to pay higher premiums and lose their jobs, wages, and health care plans.

ObamaCare is here to stay, even though today it's having a rough time of it.
I never liked Cruz and one day as people realize this Health Care system is permanent and is improving they will see that these politicians who are kicking it in the ribs are rooting for the Nations failure.
When people begin to see these guys for what they are it will be all over for Cruz and most of the Republicans.
You just can't root for our failure for long and remain in public life.
Republicans NEVER offered up any health care solutions other than one very similar to Obamas and they won't support it.
Republicans stand against, but don't stand for anything.
Thats not a future thats a prescription for failure

For all that the left said about Cruz....all the false statements made by the left.....Cruz was spot on during his speech on the floor of congress, he was right on every point and now has been proven to be wiser than Oblahblah and Nasty Pelosi.

Nov 2014 is a long long way off in political time lines.
What would you get if you won anyway and it was all over turned?
That would take Republicans controlling both House's of Congress and being able to override a Presidential veto
The problem of millions unable to get insurance is still there.

It will come back to haunt you
Republicans prefer to stick their heads in the sand and hope it goes away

The only ones hoping things go away at this point have a "D" after their name. Oblahblah has lost his shine and his coat tails are very short at this point.

On the law itself, moreover, 52 percent are opposed, vs. 42 percent in support; in 16 ABC-Post polls since August 2009, it has never received majority support.
Fifty-five percent, further, disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling implementation of the law, with “strong” disapprovers outnumbering strong approvers by a 23-point margin.

Like I said you guys offer nothing as a fix for the problem.
If you manage to get it overturned (you need the White House the Senate & House of reps)
IN 5-10 years of going without and a slow economy people will demand health care and the next time its European/Canadian style, which would be great!

Mags, Obamacare has become the dog crap on the democrat shoe and they will not get away from the stink, the kingdom is collapsing. And for republicans, it is the gift that will keep giving well into 2014, so sit back and enjoy the ride and I will pop some Orville Redenbacher!

Now you want to fix the law? I thought everything in it was perfect and didn't need to be fixed. The only thing to do now is to repeal it if you want to avoid more of the devastation to come.

How about we let insurances sell across state lines. That would drive costs down because it's promoting competition. (Enter drone response here)

Did Obama stop selling across state lines?
No they made the rule the business people to protect territories and prices.
Heres what a drone thinks: gee everything was just fine before ObamaCare

You are exactly right. The Republicans have a bill with that language that's probably laying on Harry's desk with the rest of the bills that he won't even look at.

There were other options to fix the health care system put forward, even back when Bush was in there. But every time it was brought forward, the Democrats pulled their race card and discrimination crap...........so they would get put back on the shelf. They had their mind made up that it was either a single payer system or no changes would be accepted.

Competition across state lines and lower malpractice lawsuit limits would have been a good start. Lower lawsuit limits with the guarantee that the doctors/hospitals would be forced to lower their prices in yearly increments could have started the positive change in our high cost medical system. Lower lawsuit limits would have lowered the cost to the medical industry and their malpractice insurance premiums, which would allow them to lower their prices and still make a profit. But the Democrats wanted no part of it.

Our resident left wing radical on here always come up with the "what do the Republicans have to offer that's better b.s.", but the fact is that a "better" solution was laying on the Democrats desk the entire time. But since it wouldn't be a step toward Govt. dependency, they wanted no part of it getting fixed.

You keep saying the same thing but the reality is doing nothing worked better than what is happening now. Yes, 40 million people had no insurance, great but now we are on our way to 100 million loosing the insurance they could afford for insurance they cant afford. How is that any better? The reality is the Govt could have increased Medicaid for the poor uninsured and fixed the problem but that's not what the progressives want. They want the control of a single payer system and this was the first step toward that.
