I heard Dallas was the only place with the balls
Don't forget Garland.
only place with the balls? please elaborate.
I thought he was referring to how many golf balls they pickup. LOL!!
Not at all. ..smart ass...you will see soon ....a whole lot of drivers dont like taking meat...like some of yall meat lovers
You guys are all talk. I've heard that for years, long before I even started at SAIA. Lost by one vote. Remember that hot shot. This time round it wouldn't even be close. If it even comes to that.
Is this a union thread? I'm lost.
From what I am hearing on the LInehaul Gossip Network, There are a lot of drivers, who wouldn't even consider signing a union card, but are now so pissed off about the inward facing cameras, that, if a union talking point was that those cameras would be gone, may just get their attention.
Yeah and couple guys say that's why we might get a nice raise cause of upset drivers about this camera. 1 driver said he heard it from a pretty nice source, cause Saia already losing sum drivers at barns but we will see
You just keep your knee pads fresh and your eyes open like your mouth
Why is it that every time the company does something to piss the minions off they start the union cry ?
Contact your local in your area and tell them how many to print . Lets get the ball rolling and Make America Great Again !
It really is a toss up when drivers would threaten to leave or sign a union card based on the inward facing cameras. I think if companies get a "threat" like that, they generally cut those drivers loose. Granted there is a shortage, but if people complain about cameras, that generally isn't their only complaint, just the "flavor of the day." And if they gave out raises for whining and threats of quitting, they wouldn't be in business long. Let the complainers walk I say. Treat the ones that stay with dignity and respect; good things will happen.
Sysco has the forward and driver facing cameras. I was union at my domicile and can tell you our local could do next to nothing to try and save guys jobs if they broke any rules Sysco has on their camera policy. Some of the violations are very foolish and have caused many drivers to not care anymore. I'm definitely for safety but not at the expense of making drivers nervous or not caring anymore. Safety starts with having the proper attitude. Overbearing corporate policies like Sysco's have driven morale down to a scary level. I wouldn't trust the company long term to not use something like this to thin the herd. I've seen it first hand. Sysco was offering $7500 sign on bonuses to get new hires then do nothing but playing games with long tenured employees.
The Union could do nothing to save their jobs. That's exactly my point with the whole Union issue. Despite some of the issues we have just like all other companies this I can say without any doubt. The UNION is not the answer. They have no teeth and no leverage. They care nothing about their members. They care about one thing and one thing only. Getting re-elected so they can keep taking home the members money. Totally disgraceful.
While I don't agree with everything there I will agree the IBT (at least my local) was a joke on the camera
issue. These huge billion dollar companies have this stuff figured out. While I miss certain things now at my current job that I had at Sysco it's extremely laid back and consistent paycheck. No I didn't get let go for a camera violation. Sysco lost a hundred million year account and many of us were out.
Maybe they will give us a safety bonus
Hot Dogs and stale chips work for some.
Runaway train is right about the union. They just want you in the union to pay their salaries. Face it folks....Jimmy Hoffa is dead.
LMAO, you should be a comedian. That's funny
Union will not change anything
