I feel so sorry for them that they have to deal with us. Wouldn't all the companies have it so much better if they just didn't have to employ them money hungry drivers...

Though the TDU is a good source for information. Don't think for a minute they are funded by Teamster members alone. They are a left wing, socialist front, there true agenda is quasi-Marxist. There are only about 800 plus actual Teamsters in the TDU out of 1,3 million. They only offer complaints and criticism, with no solutions to practical problems.
As long as the IBT is run the way it is they will be here. Hopefully one day we will have leaders in the IBT who will make the TDU unnecessary. Of course that falls back on the membership, they don't have time to vote, but always have time to complain..

I agree TDU is an awesome source of information & I'm not about to hold my breath until the day the IBT may have leadership that makes them unnecessary. I'm not even going to touch that other wacked-out stuff you are implying. If you actually are a due paying member vote however you want makes no difference to me.

Because I'm voting :452: again in another attempt to defeat the LHD. There is nothing that you can ever post to make me change my mind about the dreaded LHD.

I don't care what part of :452: LHD you don't understand & I don't care to find out.

That is their game plan. These guys are going to be bidding on Local Cartage bids as well so ya know that they will be Forklift Certified. This New Super Fleet LHD division will eventually replace everyone from dock/local cartage & road.

But we have stopped it once now we just have to do it again with another :452: Vote

If it passes there is going to be adds everywhere UPSF hiring. People will get excited till they hear what the wages are going to be...

But according to the teamsters it's good money... Dues that is...

I bet they don't even bother running adds in the Bay area. They would get laughed at...

I will be glad when this is all over. I am tired of the negativity. Which I dished out my fair share. I will accept which ever way it goes and not look back.

We all need to do that. We fought a good fight. We voted down the first TA. Being a road driver I will vote no like I'm sure most will. Because this is a attack on road drivers more than anything.

Because the highest cost to a company is line haul. I posted this on another board but I think it bares repeating...
 
Great post Skeeter! I couldn't agree more! If I were UPS I would worry about a male or female LHD driver filing a federal lawsuit that this newly created LHD position violates the Equal Pay Act, in that it does not pay the same wage as the RDDR position of a male or female RDDR position.

I have already mentioned to you several times that I always Vote :452: to LHD.

Anyways word is there could be some over achievers attending the meetings recording the likely intimidation tactics used to persuade yes votes. Then posted on the net to let the world know exactly how this yes vote came about. Only since we are being forced to vote in person this time vs the mail ballot.

But then again that could just be a silly rumor?

I have read a lot of No voters slinging threats and using intimidation. So to imply that it is only one sided is a joke. You are no different than those you accuse of exactly what you are doing yourselves.

I want everyone to vote. Yes or No. I don't need to call people names or make idle threats. Just go and vote.

That is not a threat. You are reaching and obviously desperate. UPS has more money than every UPS freight Teamster and the IBT and all the locals, combined. It is a simple fact. You can't break UPS without the Parcel going on strike also, freight going it alone is fool hardy at best.
