So I just got the call. Dayton said they are going to bring me on. I'm very excited to start at dayton but I wanted to get some of your opinions of guys who already work there. I've been a city driver for a few years now but starting off I may have to run linehaul for a while. I guess I'm just looking for pros and cons or dayton. Any advice would help. Thanks

Dayton is a great company to work for. I've been here for just over a year know and love it. Great environment awesome coworkers. Trust me I'm a former vitran driver who went thru the central buyout. So I've seen what the worst in the industry had to offer and now seen what it's like to see what the best had to offer and what a great change I love Dayton freight

I was in grand rapids mi the tm was Greg farmer. I was promised the world and received nothing. Meaning when I was hired I was told I would get annual raises. After three years I was only making16.75 an hr. Greg had forgotten to tell me about the pay freeze. Vitran treated us like trash

I hear ya! I know exactly what you mean. I'm actually a former Central driver myself and couldn't wait to get out. I started dayton in June and love it! Best decision I've ever made. Coming from central I know what it's like to work for the worste of the worste. Even my bad days at dayton are not that bad. Coming from central I know how bad it can be. I'm so glad I came to dayton. It's a great company, and I highly recommend.

Robinlynne. I remember PJAX drivers talking about her if it is the same manager that came from Roadway. Bet she was fun to work for.

Spent 5 yrs running linehaul, best company I ever worked for, treated like a employee and family company wide. Great pay and hands down the best equipment on the road for LTL companies. It won't be a choice getting hired on you will ever regret.. Congrats in getting on, Not an easy task since no one ever leaves.

Its 60 day but starts on the 1st day of the month after you reach 60. So it could be 61 or 90, depending on what day of the month you got hired.

They absolutely hire ex-teamsters, myself included

Leave out the pay & benefits. Is the reason everyone says Dayton is such a great place to work is based on how they treat you? von.
