Yes, we are aware of the company’s actions and words regarding a possible upcoming labor dispute.

And no... we’re not impressed.

Just how long do any of you think a freight company can survive and maintain customers without actually hauling any freight? Especially THIS company, which isn’t exactly noted for caring about the customers or their freight in the first place?

This is a fear tactic. They are trying to instill a sense of fear in us to get us to vote a particular way.

Any strike of more than a week would KILL their freight business and destroy their reputation in the marketplace. Do you think the competition will just sit idly by as freight consigned to us piles up on customer’s docks?

Fear. That what they want us to feel. A little taste of days without work. Let that fear deep in and take root in our hearts. They want to control us... OWN us.. make us too frightened to ever take them on again. This is nothing new... we’ve seen it before in previous labor disputes of the past.

So we have a choice. Vote no... and get ready to tear the beating heart from the chest of UPS and burn them to the GROUND, if need be.

Or vote yes... and sell your soul to your corporate slave-master. Because make no mistake... if we let them buffalo us into voting yes?

They will OWN each and every one of us, forever more..

So, time to have a little come-to-Jesus with ourselves, brothers and sisters.

Do we vote to live on our knees, like slaves? Or do we vote to stand and fight?

We’re voting no... HELL no!

Bring it on, Big Brown... we will make you regret having ever taken this road with your employees.

UPSFreight, you are a dreamer, sorry to say from my many years in a LTL career.
If you & your co-works walk out you can keep walking to sign up for your unemployment benefits.
UPS with their 290,000 workers,& Freight with 12,000,don't think you will win this fight.

Let’s find out![/QUOT
It would appear that the company is not concerned at all about the freight piling up on customers docks. It would also appear that we don't have any customers at this point and also appears the company is not concerned. Since it is our slow season and they can afford to play for months on end...……..Checkmate, They win.

That was quite the speech. I'm sure the FBI and the whole Homeland security department where impressed too. You might want to tone down the rhetoric about burning them to the ground.

Meaning no disrespect whatsoever, A; what I take away from this is that UPS could give a ‘rusty rat’s a** about the ramifications of the outcome, either way.

If, they get their way, they will continue to operate as they have. If UPSF is no longer a part of their business model, they will reappear in the same ‘model’ under different circumstances.

As I have stated, no one will starve with a vote to strike in this environment. Some may suffer a rift that is easily overcome, but there are plenty of jobs available, though many may be less appealing.

The old guard will run the table and leave a mess for those who follow.

Your exactly right. The plan is already set in place if this contract is rejected. They will continue operations under a different non union brand.
