What Eisenhower did was to get the ball rolling . It was the start so that's why I say that Kennedy followed up on what Eisenhower started . I like Ike . Best or at least the second best republican president after Teddy Roosevelt till this day . In my opinion .

Eisenhower was one of the best military men this country has ever had. If he had been president instead of Johnson the Vietnam "Conflict" would have not lasted 15 years nor would we have lost 58,000 American lives there. Also he would not have had McNamara in his cabinet.

I agree ,not only for military issues but also for the working class. Domestic issues as well . He favored the middle class over the corporatist .Same for Theodore Roosevelt.

    Two
McCain for riding his POW status for the last 50 years (while abandoning his values)
Bergdal for trying to join Al Qeada and Barry trading 5 for 1
    that is it on POW's

Why didn't Hilly, or Bernie or even Barry show up at this years Rolling Thunder (do Dems ever show for these events?)

    Ike was more political
He was the guy that could get everyone to work together (English and French still held great animosity throughout the war)
Smartest thing he did militarily was stop in Germany, figured why risk losing any allied lives for territory to be turned over to the Soviet Union after the war ended.

In my Army unit most of the guys were democratic . I think both sides R and D's have those that don't want to serve . The one name on the right that comes to mind is Rush Limbaugh not to mention Cheney, Trump and a lot more on the right too many to name . The left ran off to Canada and the right got deferments. I don't think most draft dodgers are democrats .

The democrats had a man with military experience in the campaign for prez, Jim Webb, but the establishment wouldn't support him. I tend to consider military service when I go to the polls.

Is this facts, hear say? Just wondering.
Barack Obama claims he's American. He never registered with selective service. He wouldn't of been old enough for Vietnam. But he can be considered a draft dodger. We all had to sign that selective service card. But since he has that black privilege he's ok to pass on it.

People tend to kiss rich peoples ass thinking that the rich guy will find them fascinating and give them some money.

The rich know this and take advantage of it.

One hour in military prep school is more than Hitlery, Slick Willie & the Kenya Kid combined.
