Ever notice most of these so called driver shortage articles are written by logistics and transportation type business' that are looking out for the shippers and not the driver or the trucking companies? They blame government regulations and suggest that pay increases may not help. Deregulation along with shippers pitting one carrier against another by bidding on freight along with 3 rd party's putting freight out for the lowest price on the internet and such will not allow wages and benefits to rise.
