Recycles the bottom 20% of subpar drivers to low paying companies that drag down the industry. Like he said if and when they quit in a month will get another commission placing them in another bad company.Represents everything wrong with trucking. He calls it free market.

    YRC Freight is Hiring!!!

A Company with a Distinguished Past and a Bright Future!

With more than 28,000 employees, YRC Freight is the largest operating unit of Overland Park, Kansas–based YRC Worldwide and one of the largest trucking companies in the United States.

We have decades of experience and unsurpassed expertise as a leading less-than-truckload carrier. We are proud of our past but focused on the future with a strong commitment to long-haul transportation services, as well as expedited and guaranteed services, for customers throughout North America. Through our transportation expertise and professional Teamster workforce, we add reliability and dependability to our customers’ supply chains.

    Why YRC Freight?

•Improved financial and operational performance. In 2012, we are seeing year-over-year increases in revenue and tonnage and significant service improvements, and we continue to get better every day. Just this year, we have received three Carrier of the Year awards and have been mentioned favorably in national magazines.
•Stability. The fact that many employees from coast to coast have spent their entire careers with our company makes a powerful statement about the kind of company we are — one that provides outstanding wages and benefits and provides opportunities that employees find fulfilling and rewarding.
•Experience. Our field employees are truckers through and through, with a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and a sense of pride that we are an essential cog in our nation’s commerce. The corporate staff, from sales to finance to information technology, combines industry knowledge with professional ability, to play a vital support role. Management is approachable and in touch.

We have immediate openings in major cities throughout the country, and particularly in the Northeast. All in all, it’s a great place to work, whether you are just launching a career or are an experienced professional looking for a new challenge.

Too bad I am not near a terminal. Relocation is not an option. I paid so much for insurance through NCT it would be nice not to have to lose most of my income to benefits.

So where and who are the "good" jobs for drivers with 19 years experience? (PM me) I have a few leads but have not called yet. Since recruiters lie, how can we move on and be gainfully employed and not get scammed. I am certain anything is better than NCT, but no way am I going to take .28 cpm! I don't even want to take .41 since I was at .496.

This is the problem in the industry. These new drivers think .28 is a great thing and so companies don't have to pay a decent wage for our time and out experience. Go get the student driver and we older folks get the shaft.

That's why the biggest lie in the industry is" There's a driver shortage". Experienced drivers are just choosing to do something else than drive for cheap wages. If there was really a driver shortage, wages would be going up,not down. The truth is there is just a shortage of good paying driving jobs. All you have to do is follow up on the majority of companies attempting to recruit here, and see the poor wages and benefits their offering.
