Didn't California exempt their own trucks that were not in compliance from this regulation because of the cost of putting filters on them ?

Maybe all the trucking companies should drop off all the freight at the cal. border and let some panzy ass in a Prius and a uhaul trailer haul it around.

California always has been one of the toughest states for trucking companies to operate in. In Estes defense though, they were honest in the response in 2014 that 15 percent of their trucks lacked the proper pollution equipment. Maybe should blame their equipment manager for not putting all new, or retrofitted tractors there only.

I agree with you but have ever been on outskirts of LA ( Riverside, Ontario) and towards downtown and see the smog coverage. Scary :: when you know your going down there to del/pu and breath that :: in.
