I must disagree with your opinion on driving.... I consider myself a professional driver which includes alot more than staring out a window. If driving is boring than you are not doing it right. There is alot more to driving a truck safely than looking out the window. Do you really think Con-way would pay the money they do if all there was to driving was looking out a window? Doubt it! I would like to think they appreciate the skill it takes to drive a truck and set a pay scale accordingly. Then there are the safety risks, would every state be passing laws against cell phone use while driving if there wasn't a problem? Let me guess, if you were to get involved in an accident while driving you would be the first to deny the fact that you were on the phone when it happened. It has been proven many times that it isn't the physical use of the phone that is the problem it's the distraction of the conversation that causes the safety risks. But I guess if everyone took driving seriously we wouldn't be discussing the use of cell phones while driving. Of course there are always times when you need to talk on a cell phone but realistically should we be chating all the way to the FAC! That is needless abuse in my opinion.
Maybe I am just not that popular but I use my phone for emergency only and very rarely talk on it. If I do talk on it, it's only for a couple minutes to get the point of the call and get off.
Think about your safety first! Our first goal should always be getting home alive!
