THANK YOU to all Brother and Sister Teamsters for your support! The attitude on the picket line has been upbeat and positive! And the support from other Teamster Union companies has been phenomenal! Today, workers from at least 5 other-than-Oak outfits have visited the line to show their support! This is so freaking great! Plus, ex-Oak workers have been by in droves! THANKS!

Where did they show this on TV? I never saw it? I think the people they show are the temp workers OAKH has hired from Labor Ready (I have confirmed that is where these guys are coming from)

In Portland AFAIK 2 dockworkers crossed and no drivers with the exception of one jerk who is a "core" member. He is now number one on the Line Board and everyone reminds him of that when he drives by. Anyone else that you see is ***** that the company has brought in or employees from the non-Union barns. May they all rot a slow death in Hell.

Thanks to everyone who has come down to visit our strike lines, not just in Portland, but also at other locations.

In Portland, we have guys from Yellow, Roadway, ABF, Reddaway, UPS Freight, UPS Parcel and even FedEx Freight coming by. Many of the Old Dominion guys toot their horns and wave, and we appreciate the fact that they slow down when they drive by our picket lines, unlike the replacement jerks driving our trucks, who have swerved at us in an aggressive manner multiple times. We alway tell them they are "number one" in our books, of course!

Then there are the other unions. We've had guys show up from IBEW, IAM (the Boeing people who are on strike over on the other side of town), UFCW, several different groups from the teachers unions in our areas, and the printers union.

Up in Yakima, you've got the same thing. Police from Toppenish and Union Gap have come to walk the picket line with our guys. Firefighters. The fine people at the school district. and many more.

Much the same up in Auburn, Mt. Vernon, Pasco, and Spokane.

All of our fellow union brothers and sisters have dropped off food, firewood, water, and just plain support.

You all are the epitomy of what the union movement is about, and we at Oak Harbor appreciate it very, very much!

Thanks to you all!:1036316054::1036316054::1036316054:

This post absolutely hits to the core as to what unions are all about. This post gave me goose bumps. Union members from all walks of life, from all types of employment, all colors, all creeds, genders etc. etc. banding together for one goal. To keep the middle class alive and well. To hold corporate greed to a minimum. To preserve our standard of living. To show a sense of humanity. To help a fellow brother or sister out in a time of need. To show Portland and the other cities that well seasoned drivers, that have many years of experience, that hold the safety of the citizens of their communities as their number one priority, that what Oak Harbor is displaying is a disgrace to all members of the working class. And due to their decision of replacing their safe, professional drivers with a dangerous group of inexperienced rejects, I as a conscientious member of my community would demand the cease and desist of operations who would sacrifice the safety of the community for selfish greed. Let this whole Oak Harbor dilemma be a lesson to all of the non union drum beaters. These are the guys and gals who roll up their sleeves and get it done. These are the individuals who have helped carve out a thicker and sweeter piece of the pie, (for us all). Thank you OHFL employees for holding the torch for the middle class. Teamster Elvis out....

We are aware of your struggle here on the East Coast good to see you all stand tall brothers and sisters. Wish we could take up the cause here with you, just give us a call to support the cause on what we can do on this side.

You could hand bill Gap, Old Navy and Bannana Republic as they are
one of the last strong accounts OHFL has. We are asking them to help
push this back to the negotiating table.

There are many Gap, Old Navy locations across the U.S.
Or just spread the word not to shop there.
