a long time ago, i saw a program regarding how they make the food look so good in photo ads and in commercials.
many times, they use food grade glazing like honey for example, to give the food a nice shine, and you think that it is juicy and all.
they use (or used to), believe it or not, a mixture of Elmer's Glue and milk, to make the milk look good, cuz as it is, milk does not photo well on it's own. something about the camera can see through the milk.>??
and ok...ya'll ain't gonna believe this.....they sometimes use tampons....(for other pics)...!!!
in any event, yes, fried foods can be bad for us, no doubt, but i too like french fries. i must say, i never asked for fries right out of the fryer, each time i have ever gotten them, they were dumped into the holding bin recently.
i have however asked for a burger..."plain", as that has to be cooked up and prepared without all the "special sauce" and everything else on it.
but in the end, i haven't had any burger's in such a long time. i'd rather have a nice chicken sandwich, and i think that Wendy's, Micky D's, and Burger King have very good ones, or i'll order up a fish sandwich.
however (sorry) the size of these sandwiches and the prices..??
i really do better when i go to Subway, or a local deli, and end up with a sandwich that is not only BIGGER, but priced (many times) LOWER that any of the "fast food places"...
and, also to me, nothing beats a "kraut dog", like the one's i can get from the vendor, sitting outside the local Lowe's or Home Depot stores..>!!!
