Agree , they have made more money , But WHY can't YRCW follow there way of doing business and make big money too ??or is it that YRCW never wants to make big money , because they would lose control of the union yes sheep and with 2019 coming up fast they want to look poor !

Well for one they can’t make money because they have their companies screwing each other. I run a P&D route for New Penn
I can’t tell you how many customers have left New Penn to ship with YRC because a YRC salesman went in and offered a better rate. So if a customer is paying more at New Penn and pays less at YRC for the same service YRCW just lost money on that customer but some salesman got a commission instead of getting his ass reemed for costing the company money.

Goodness! If YRCW had a profitable package business supplementing our corporate revenue, we might be more competitive. As a stand alone, we slog through the mud and do the best we can with the hand we are dealt.

If you look at what Amazon is doing with same delivery with contracted small trucks and vans it is basically the fedex small package model, Amazon is getting it set up and getting the kinks out seems like they are doing well with it, but it seems once they do get it running smoothly they may be looking for a piece of the lucrative small package pie.
They are into everything else so why not ?
Not saying I told you so but I did tell you so

SWA or Shipping With Amazon expects to compete with Fedex and UPS

The company would send SWA drivers directly to retailers and warehouses to pick up parcels, cutting out other delivery services. Amazon would then take the packages directly to consumers in the 37 cities where it currently delivers, according to the report.
