FedEx ground has just turned down their trucks to only run 65 mph. I see a lot more rear end accidents happening.

The two FedEx trucks were stopped on the shoulder when they were hit. Being turned down to 65 mph had nothing to do with this accident. Driver not paying attention to his job is a more likely cause.

The independent contractors can still run faster, so potential problems are still at hand.

I'm told through the Grapevine that if they don't turn their trucks down they will have a substantially higher insurance deductible.... the contractor I work for opted to turn the trucks down for increased fuel savings and lower insurance cost.

We still have some that drive like idiots. ....
