Usually lease trucking doesn't work out with newbies.
They can get over their heads in debt real fast.

That's why we ask for 8-24 months experience and 6 months OTR. Is this a forum for new drivers?

Lease purchase for the most part is a ripoff. If there was any money to be made, they would own the truck and put drivers in them.

It's really not a rip off if drivers actually run you could own the truck in 3 years and then it's your truck. I mean if you ask me I would rather choose my own loads and choose how much money I want a make than having some one tell me. :)

I do have another question maybe you guys can help me with, It's an odd one. Where is the best place to reach flat-bed drivers? Is there forums, or websites they frequent or you guys frequent?

Okay how about when freight drops off,& the truck payments become overwhelming.
Is the lessee able to hire their truck on with another company to make the payments, till business picks back up?
Or is the lease an exclusive use only to your company, where the truck could be repo'd back to you.
Leaving the driver a load of debt, with no truck & no work?

I have heard of that happening in the past, with other truckload companies, thats why I ask.

If I load today and am at consignee the next day but they will not unload when I arrive, I would expect to be paid to sit their thus holdover pay.
If I arrive at the time specified to load and they are not ready normally you give them 2 hours free time after that its $200.00 per hour charge.
The shipper does not work for free neither does my truck.
Do you pay deadhead miles between loads ?
Do you have loads to keep truck busy everyday or do you work off of load boards ?
    What type of trailer ?
    Ramps ?
    Coil pockets ?
    Tarps ?
    Tarp Pay ?
Does driver need TWIC card ?
    Fast Pass ?
    Toll Pass ?
What is your CSA score ?

No offense intended, Anna. if it is such a great deal, why don't you buy a few trucks and put drivers in them so you own them in 3 years.

I am unaware of a forum where flat bedders could be found, that does not mean that one does not exist.

Lease purchase could possibly be good the MO for many companies is lease purchase, starve out and repossess. Lease purchasing from the company you lease to is having all of your eggs in one basket and a recipe for disaster.

we have a good deal of freight through the winter months and truck payments go down. The lease is exclusive to our company, however once it's paid its is your truck to do what you wish with it. we are non-force dispatch so the only drivers that aren't making money are those who choose not to do the work....
