waysho and HeadRush good for the both of you. Now call them if you have time. We need to really "Drive" this into their heads.:1036316054:

thanks hillbilly frog for the link, i dont like this on bit,and it bothers me just as much that nobody else seems like there voicing there opinions exept the teamsters. i mean its not only union jobs affected, but non union as well.

You are welcome WRIGLEY and you are correct. It is not a union-non/union thing at all. It is all of Americas truck drivers in this together. We can fight it together or perish together.

Just my opinion, but you could post a form letter that we could print out on our computer printers.
Give us the address to send it with attention to who would be the best rep.,to get it.
Than all we trucking folks have to do is sign it date it,stick it in an envelope with a stamp.and send it off to the powers that can do something about stopping this UN-American transportation issue.
Just a thought?

Hey APO.........here's a link you can use. If you don't want to email you can copy and paste the message and mail it. You don't have to be a union member to use it. You are right EVERY DRIVER on this board should do this. :chairshot: DS.

Hey your not the only one, but the sticker is funny...:hysterical:

I got a response from my senator. I posted it in the con way forum. It seemed no one really cared. I copied and pasted the response from the ccx forum. I sent another letter. No response yet.

Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns
about the new pilot program allowing select Mexican trucking
companies to enter the U.S. I appreciate your taking the time
to let me know your views on this important issue.

Daniel, as you may know, U.S. Transportation
Secretary Mary Peters recently announced that U.S. trucks will
for the first time be allowed to make deliveries in Mexico
under a year-long pilot program that expands cross border
trucking operations with Mexico. U.S. trucks will get to make
deliveries into Mexico while a select group of Mexican
trucking companies will be allowed to make deliveries beyond
the 20-25 mile commercial zones currently in place along the
Southwest border.

You raised some interesting and insightful points
regarding the safety of Mexican trucks. Your thoughts and
recommendations will be especially helpful as I work with my
colleagues on the important issues facing the 110th Congress.
In the meantime, if you wish to share additional information
with me concerning this issue, please feel free to contact me by
calling, emailing, writing, or faxing me. Please be advised that
mail sent to my Washington office is subject to an additional
two-week delay due to increased mail security.

Again, thank you for contacting me. If I can be of
further assistance to you regarding this or any other matter,
please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always happy to
respond and be of service to you.
Sincerely,
