The Bikes I recall had a wide rear Slick Tire and skinny (like the picture) on front.
Them bikes were a gasser and in essence we played with our knobs when we weren't reading MAD or CAR TUNES or Playboy.

Years ago a friend had a classic pickup stolen. It was reported stolen & the police said they had no reports of a recovery. He looked for several days with no success. Finally a friend found it in a police impound lot. While he was looking at it a tow truck driver came by & said a policeman had noticed it had a fresh engine & was going to buy it at the next auction. The tow truck driver said some policemen don't report a vehicle as found because they want it for themselves & can buy it at auction. The owner had to pay a tow bill plus several weeks storage.
Thankfully most police officers are honest & don't resort to dishonesty to get a classic ride.

I'm looking at that, didn't the real McCoy have a spring up on the front of the handlebars? It's a blur in that pic but it doesn't look like the spring.

There's a little bit more to that story. Her daughter did get the notebook and two older women grabbed her by the hair, beat her up and took it, that's when mom pulled the pistol.
