Fuel surcharges are adjusted daily and these charges are passed on to the consumer. It has ZERO effect on our bottom line. Just because they say it over and over does NOT make it true.

TEAM MATTERS
While prices seem to have
stabilized for now, fuel
remains one of the largest
expenses for our team.
Everything we can do to
help improve our fuel
economy goes a long way
toward lowering our costs
and growing our Profit
Sharing Plan.

This was explained to me several years ago, the freight rates our customer pay are based on an old rate chart that dates several years ago when fuel was less than 2.00 a gallon, so when when the industry adds a fuel surcharge to the bill is never equals or exceeds today's fuel prices. It gets us closer to the pump price but we never profit from a surcharge, the customer would never allow this, they would bail in a heart beat. That is why the surcharge is uniform with our competition. Our big accounts negotiate in a different manner due to the volume of freight they generate. And yes we do buy fuel by in bulk each day at a discount.

This was explained and you bought it. That surcharge can be a boon. Youll never convince me otherwise. I learned this years ago when I was a shirt.
