Teamsters See Need For 'Comprehensive Restructuring' At YRC Worldwide

The Teamsters union said late Friday that it will only support new employee concessions at YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRC) if the effort "supports a comprehensive restructuring" at the struggling trucking company.

"Our goal is to facilitate that restructuring and protect as many Teamster jobs as possible," the International Brotherhood of Teamsters said in a statement to its members.

The union said it will agree to submit recent YRC cost-saving proposals for ratification of its members only "if certain conditions are met."

Alot of duckies..that's an understatement.a worldwide company.and they need more money?possibly more concessions?huh!looks like they ought to move out like dhl.go work the communists in China harder.why don't we have them organized too

discharge without severence every other manager for a start. ratio of 1manager to 5 or 6 workers is unsustainable. require management to do something besides send emails and drink coffee. look at the higher salaried managers for an oppurtunity to cut. stop cheating to get numbers. if we actually meet goals without trickery, we might make money. look for waste. it is everywhere. so is corruption, still spending as if it is other peoples money.
