Central Transport | H o l y t o l e d o !

I heard it also, but it was quite a while ago, not recently. I'll skip details as it's the internet. I did hear that the person involved was nabbed, which is good.

nobody arrested yet. 3 dock workers suspected have been fired. One was escorted tues off dock by police but not arrested YET

This is true. Cops and head of Vitran security raided the terminal Tuesday night. Rumor has it that some arrests have been made. Dock workers and drivers were escorted to their cars by police. They now have 2 police cars patrolling the lot 24/7 along with 2 security guards at each gate. Each trailer has to be sealed by a supervisor and numbers have to match paperwork when leaving the gate.

1 cop stationed there paid for by vitran. others just come by to bring him doughnuts. Terminal was not raided they just escorted dock worker off property

Morale in Toledo is at the lowest ever. All the employees are angry and disgruntled. City drivers have to wait till 3 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon to go out because there is a shortage of empty trailers. The dock is overflowing with freight. Line-haul drivers wait 2 to 6 hours every night for their loads for FREE. Then you have the stupid L/H drivers that don't go on duty not driving on their logs when they get there, and then get behind the wheel and drive for 10 to 14 hours after they finally get their paperwork. Someone is going to get killed. We have city drivers getting back to the yard between 9:30 - 10 pm so the line-haul drivers can't find their trucks and mgt. doesn't know who has it. It is the worst ever run terminal I've seen.

city guys are not waiting till 3 or 5. there is definetly a delay but they had 2 full shifts running this weekend to clean up dock

was there a hazmat clean-up in tol that is costing btw $80-$100k? i heard there's even 3 wk old freight found in a trailer out in the yard. what the heck is going on at that disaster area? lockdown lockdown. is there a guard tower with a sharpshooter yet? lol.

that will gettem canned. Remember Wichita? Big wigs found freight out back dating a month behind, some a couple days so you know they were in the trailer recently, everyone but IT and drivers got dismissed. Apparently being terminated these days does not mean much to these people. CK still has a long way to go.

That is what I was told by the city drivers that start at 10AM. They said this is the reason we are getting back to the yard at 9:30 - 10PM.

Stop listening to Strole and McKimmy thats always bad gossip. Yes they are getting out late. And the city dispatch runs them in circles. But also know some of these city drivers are CLOCK SUCKERS

yes last wed or thur epa was in and there was a trailer with leaking barrels and drums. Area roped off and cleaned up. I dont think anyone has said what the cost was. There was alot of freight on dock for a week unlabled and a few weeks old. Mandatory sat and sun this past weekend for dock and supervisors to clean up. It was better monday night. Yes there was freight hidden in a office trailer at end of our dock a month ago, freight found and trailer now removed. All reasons why the TM was fired on Mon.

don't blame the company, I would have fired his but too!!! all tm's need to be held responsible for their terminals, the only way we will clean things up. if it's broke, fix it. if you can't get it fixed, ask for help. better to lose face than lose job, at least you can say you tried

that tm doesn't know how to ask for help he thought he was God's gift to the company ( both times) and that's why he can add yet another company to his mile long resume, lets see what I know of, from other drivers he has been at holland, central (two terminals) Pjax (after buyout, before merger) vitran( before buyout) ABF(I think, might have been OD) the only ones left are fedex and yrc and estes.
