OOPS, put this question on the wrong thread..
I have a package coming ground and I called to see if they would just hold at terminal since I'll be in town Monday and was told nope. Only if they attempt delivery will they hold it at the dock.
Just wondering why this is policy? My guess is that shipper needs to set it up as being picked up at dock rather than delivered.
Will it cost a driver some money if I pick it up instead? I don't want to do that. But thought since I would be in town and I really want this package soon. Being that I live so far out the crickets have a hard time finding me I thought I'd save a driver a long drive and help keep him from being gummed to death by my old doberman.
