hey, big r guy, heres one for ya, here in camp hill, we load up all freight comeing to yrc for what ever reason, put it on trailer, usually a yrc trailer, and off to Carlisle it goes, what 10 miles away...2-4 loads a day, every day... most we get 5 bucks to pick up and yrc 125 bucks to line haul and del. , probably exagerateing a bit , but you get my drift..you don't have trailer there, so we use our own, now you come in drop one of yours and off you go with npme trailer...this happens over and over, so now theres 10 npme trailers in Carlisle sitting there empty that you wont bring back to us...i guess not cost effective...so , we are short trailers but still we wont send a bobtail up and bring them back, guess not cost effective for us either...so now we have road guys in balt amd Trenton and phila. getting paid an hour or more waiting for an empty...all because we gave yrc the use of our trailers that paid us damn near nothing...for freight that the shipper said no yrc comes in here to get, and other reasons ...so what do we have???? we now have a company...npme acting and operating as disfuctional as yrc freight..that is why the regionals operated at a 98 or and yrc at a 99 or for the 4th qtr... while every other ltl had good results 4th qtr wise but yrcw!!! this is operations not working, all your tech isn't going to fix this dumb ass
Need I say more?that goes on daily....nobody cares!!! all the while , with all my experience, I'm the lowest paid in the ltl industry...hhmmm, there is nobody at npme left, that they didn't fire to come and say, hey you got to vote to save npme for our family we have had!!! and you can tell cause nothing is efficient , its all disfuntional, and all just a bunch of lies about whats happing at npme, our reputation is slowing running out, thanks to the current management that is in place...howard , i hope you see what has been thrown into you lap, and it aint pretty!!!
Kind of goes back to things we have all said all along.
Doing things the way they were done 30 years ago.
No one wants to change anything.
Most afraid of change.
Cannot hire smart freight people,labor, or management, because of subpar salaries,and wages.
