Holland added 10 new photos to the album: “National Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day" at Main Office.

National Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day is recognized annually on the fourth Thursday of April. This event is an educational program in the USA and Canada to provide both girls and boys with opportunities to explore careers at an early age.

As a real-life educational experience for the older children of Holland main office employees, they were able to “go to work with Mom or Dad” for a half day and received firsthand educational experience learning about different office jobs.



How nice for those folks in the main office, who are home everyday, to bring thier kids to work.

Remember when we had riders week, and those of us who are gone all week, got to spend a week with our child or spouse.

This company could care less about the scumbag drivers.
 
What ever happened to the Driver's taking there kids to work day ???? Oh that's right we are all to embarrassed and disgruntled & pissed off to bring out kids to this low morale work place where we spend 12 to 13 hrs a day !!
 
Being a city driver, I remember "take your kid to work week" was the one week that we actually were on our best behavior when we finished the dock at night. We usually had some entertaining conversations for the Line Haul guys to think about on their way home, so we had to clean the conversations up for that one week, but we always enjoyed seeing the youngsters from around the country for that week. We still managed to give them some entertainment, but it wasn't xxx rated for that week.
That stinks that they discontinued it, because I think that it gave all of us some joy seeing the youngsters with a smile on their face, getting to hang out with Dad.
 
See those people out there? that's called the dock. We don't go out there, because they're bad people. "why don't they get fired mom/dad?" because they're in a union. The union is for bad people who don't work for a living. Mom/Dad has to work much harder because of them. Do they do any work? no dear child, they don't. but they'll all be going away very soon.

See those people out there. They have worked hard all their lives for the benefit of their families. Some have worked their way up from contractual Employee, putting themselves through college, and became Salaried Employees.

Then when the Banksters crashed the economy and stole retirement money from millions of people. Those Salaried Employees renewed their CDL's and went back to work where they started in the industry.

No Johnny that doesn't mean they are failures. It means they are not too proud to humble themselves for the benefit of their families. They work hard every day and sleep sound every night, knowing they live honest wholesome lives, beguiling and slandering no others while daily building value for the Stake Holders.
