Averitt | Houston Tx.- Averitt involved in Fatality accident, not his fault

This involved an Averitt truckload driver out of Dallas on Monday 08/15. He was about 2 miles from the Houston Service Center when this happened. Never saw this pop up in the accident forum.

I see he was involved but not charged...apparently he was the only one that stopped...

Poor guy, hard to recover after that, not to mention watching her get hit several more times.

That driver's ordeal is just starting, lets hope he kept his mouth shut and did not start babbling. Lets hope Avrt had him tested for drugs and alcohol immeadatly. Both he and Avrt are going to be sued for wrongful death, this is going to be a long ordeal. Lets hope he has perfect logs for the last six months,all records pertaining to his work will be examined throughly. He needs to be very careful on what he says and who he says it to. I know what I am talking about, in 1998 I ran a drunk over that was laying in the middle of US17, all that was left was chunks!
