“In December 2016, the Obama administration finalized a rule that would have added people receiving Social Security checks for mental illnesses and deemed unfit to handle their own finances to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).”

    ACLU would not like this.
Knowing obama he probably initiated this illegally just like he did that daca crap.

It's a good way of living to be reasonable with your wants and needs.
The gun people are failing to be reasonable.
When the pendulum swings the other way you'll be sorry

    Reasonable?
Don't see that in the Constitution
I do see "shall not be infringed"

And they have been infringed gun free zones, licensing, limits on products, certain weapons banned

It all goes down to the core argument, guns laws will only affect citizens who follow the law

Why are Liberals supportive of signage at schools that identify the campus as a "gun free zone", yet when they are asked to put a sign in their own front yard identifying their house as a "gun free zone", they refuse the sign?

The gun grabbers/Liberals have no problem making our children sitting ducks while at school, but won't put themselves into that same position at their own residences.

    Yep.
If they wanted full gun control, it should have been changed about 240 years ago. Now it's too late to fix. There are more guns in this country than there is citizens. If actually getting all of the guns turned in was a realistic option, more people would support the idea. But common sense says that will not ever happen.

Message to the gun grabbing libs:
If getting the guns off the streets is your only option, you are beating your idiotic head against the wall.:regretful:

So save yourself the embarrassment, and save your breath on the "feel good" legislation attempts.

They already put restrictions on what you can own but you don't think about it because it was always that way to you.
You can't have fully automatic guns, no grenades, no rocket launchers, bazookas or any explosives.
You may think that Apples to Oranges but it's a restricton on what some may want and believe me some do want those items.
They may allow a collector such as yourself to buy a tank (check first with your HOA) but the firing mechanism will be inoperable.

When they remove your semi-autos your children will be perfectly fine with it.
I'm sure you don't pine for the 1920's when you could buy a Thompson Machine gun.

This is my every day driver. My boss tells me to make sure that I'm wearing my seat belt. But I'm not sure if he means while I'm driving or when I'm shooting.

Apparently you don't realize- the reason SCOTUS outlawed sawed off shotguns, was because SCOTUS said sawed offs had No purpose in War. They based their decision, on how useful weapons average gun owners had to oppose an oncoming military. They understood the 2nd Amendment was to protect Citizens FROM GOVERNMENT.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Miller

ARs and other semi-autos therefore do fit the requirements for ownership.

    AR's are getting boring.
Let's open things up a bit.
I might need one of these to fend off our Govt. in case another Obama ever gets in there.

    There's also the Heller Decision:

The court then held that the Second Amendment "protects an individual right to keep and bear arms", that the "right existed prior to the formation of the new government under the Constitution", also stating that the right was "premised on the private use of arms for activities such as hunting and self-defense, the latter being understood as resistance to either private lawlessness or the depredations of a tyrannical government (or a threat from abroad)." They also noted that though the right to bear arms also helped preserve the citizen militia, "the activities [the Amendment] protects are not limited to militia service, nor is an individual's enjoyment of the right contingent upon his or her continued or intermittent enrollment in the militia." The court determined that handguns are "Arms" and concluded that thus they may not be banned by the District of Columbia.

But, but, but........the Democrat's favorite line is that we don't need an AR-15 to hunt deer. Do you mean that hunting wasn't the founder's biggest concern?
