I would surmise that the Truck Stop at X126 was FULL as well alternate Parking at that exit.

Cerberus_Kelpie thanks for this crash post,which is a good example that in poor weather conditions everybody needs to have plenty of room between vehicles.

That mess happened right behind me that morning. The exits were too slick to use, and all the parking was full. I took it slow and drove it all the way into Memphis. Got my doors blown off by a bunch of super truckers that I saw off in the ditches and medians later. I just don't understand some folks.
