I-70 Westbound Colorado accident

    It was bad.. Really good guy. Seen pictures of the tractor , still trying to figure out how he survived.

    Heard it broke his back.He is very lucky only by the Grace of God

    Couple ribs also. Was in the water long enough to be treated for hypothermia. Great job by Rescue to get him stabilized and airlifted to GJN. Surgery on his back was successful and he's got feeling back in his lower extremities. All in all he's lucky to be alive.

    In that part of the world I wouldn’t doubt it. Colorado is beautiful, but not from a cab of a truck this time of year.

    Worked @ Copper MT from 80 to 84. Drove many times to Vail (20) away or to Denver to get customers. It was a fun trip going thru the Eisenhower Tunnel in a 1980 VW air cooled van with luggage & skiers. Going up the Mtn was easy. Going down with out sliding in to the ditch, different ballgame. The 3 previous years I drove all the inter mountain area in a semi delivering off the road recapped tires. That experience is what kept me safe @ Copper Mtn. Every spring we re-built the brakes & R & R the shocks. That VW never broke down & we drove the hell out of it each year.
