Well, now that's interesting. Here we are, with a country that gives our citizens the right of free speech, and allows us to criticize our government, versus a country that would throw it's citizens in jail for doing so.
Personally, I don't care for fans either at home or at the game sitting, talking, eating etc., during the anthem. I also don't let it concern me.
I just find it odd there is so much disdain for the players excising their rights as Americans
And yet so many here were supportive of the White supremacist and Nazi's in Charlottlesville Virginia.
I must say people do the darn-dest things!
I don't understand them
Anyway you fellers not attending the game's saving all that dough can spend Sundays taking your lovely wife's to the mall now.
Things just work out for the best
Let us put he blame for this mess where it belongs! The owners and the NFL commissioners can have stopped this before it started but doesn't have the balls and caved! If I he NFL suffers backlash and financial loss its because they choose the wrong path!
YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTEST OR DO THINGS YOUR EMPLOYER PROHIBITS WHILE ON THE CLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M AMAZED AT HOW PEOPLE KEEP SAYING OVER AND OVER AND OVER THAT IT IS THERE 1st AMMENDMENT RIGHT!! IT WILL NEVER BE TRUE NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES A LIBERAL OR IDIOT SAYS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No NFL or Direct Tv for me. XM radio and Michigan football.
Yeah, I've known to ask, "Who are the Lions going to lose to on Thanksgiving?"
Stupid people don't understand what 'rights' are and when they apply.
I'm mostly on the road anyway xm NFL is on my pre-select but I usually stop and watch MNF and catch up with my FF teams and how many team owners I kicked along the way
Yes, you actually do have the right to protest while on the clock, if your employer allows it. No matter how loud you yell about it.
You know damn well it's not free speech unless it suits their needs.
Do you think a player could give a Nazi salute during the anthem without being suspended?
You might not have a problem with these ass hats disrespecting our flag and country but I do and so should the NFL and the owners.
Now I will exercise my rights.
If you read the whole post "the owners choose the wrong path" is what I said !!!!!
The thing is this Colin Pumpernickel thing was over and forgotten, history.
Then Trumps digs it back up and gets you guys all worked up with it.
Pisses off all the players by insulting their mothers
So tell me does Trump know how to punch your buttons or what?
And if enough proud Americans protest this by canceling their Direct TV and stop attending NFL games, perhaps the team owners and players can spend Sundays reading Hillary Clinton's new book. Now 50% off retail price.
Football is entertainment, it's quite simple. You want to change your product to something different, there can be consequences. Highjacking a captive audience is not the way to grow an audience.
Who knows there maybe a PGA tournament on tv
It wasn't a free speech issue until the government got involved. When the President of the U.S. tries to exert pressure on a business entity, with the purpose of attempting to punish someone for their speech or expression, it becomes a Constitutional Issue.
Before that, it was just an employer/employee squabble. Trump managed to get them both on the same side.
But we're not talking about North Korea anymore, so mission accomplished Donny!
What's his name was forgotten and he's now suffering the life of a loser as he should. However, there were several others who were still on that bandwagon and it didn't go unnoticed. I believe that this will not fare well for the NFL but America will win in the long run with many realizing that life is fine without it.
Hope the Cowboys get their dicks knocked in the dirt here in Phoenix tonight for kneeling for the National Anthem.
Separate names with a comma.
