I support the right of the white supremacists to get a permit and hold a rally, I would also support the right of the NFL players to get a permit and hold a rally. I do not support the notion that they have the right to hijack entertainment and turn it into something else.

I can hardly wait for the Monday night ratings to come out.
I'm hoping for a 50% drop for Thursday night football this week..

runawaytrain Wear their scorn with pride.

Nike stands behind the players and NFL in today's statement. Ford and a few others are staying low for now. This will hurt ratings and the bottom line for the NFL in the long run just wait and see. It will be mostly the RIGHT that gets fed up. You know >>>>>>>>>>> The ones that voted for Trump. Not the ones on the LEFT that said he didn't stand a snow balls chance in hell to be President.

I read an article that said that Ford supports them.

The NFL prob doesn't like the kneeling, but they don't have a rule against it in the CBA, that I know of.

The NBA didnt, until Chris Jackson became Muslim, changed his name to a three word Islamic name, and sat for the anthem. Teams were booed, people quit buying tickets. The NBA changed their rules.

Edit: now I see bubba showing the NFL rule forbidding it.

Jeff Saturday (ex Colts center) pointed out that players stayed in the locker room during the anthem until 2009.

That's a good thing. But it still takes owners with a set of onions to enforce it. I predict that the NBA will do the same thing and challenge the rule. These elitist players think that they are much bigger than the Nation and their game itself. They will test it, wait and see. (And they will get boycotted also.)

I predict the Thursday night game will have the lowest ratings ever. I hope so. Maybe they'll get the hint.

Oh yes I read lots of "they have rights" comments protected by the constitution.
I argued that those groups are terrorists and terrorists should not enjoy Constitutional protection but that didn't go over too well here.

Trump said diddly about the Nazi's and White supremacists but yaks constantly about foot ball players.
Some one could come away from this thinking he's a racist.
    What do you think?

Trump curses out innocent people and you flash the finger at me.
This worlds going to hell and you Trump voters are responsible for it

And the league has every right to enforce their rules, in any way that's spelled out in the collective bargaining agreement. No issue there.

Of course. But the U.S. Government has weighed in, and called for the firing of the players.

now you are making up your own "facts"
condemned on Saturday of the event
on Monday of the following week
on Tuesday of the following week
and signed a joint resolution condemning them

I think that is the image that the MSM and the left want to portray despite its inaccuraties
Trump never mentioned race in any of these comments regarding the NFL
and if you read the comments in most stories, all he said was what a lot of people were thinking

when you want to make an omelet you need to break a few eggs
this crap started under Barry when Barry supported cop killers and groups like BLM
Kaepernik was protesting racial "injustice" in Ferguson where a punk thug tried to disarm a police officer after committing a robbery
the entire event was sold as a lie. "Hand up don't shoot" never happened
with that said Ferguson is a Dem strong hold and this happened under Barry
Then move on to Freddie Gray in Baltimore, another Dem stronghold which happened under Barry
In fact most major cities are Dem strongholds and violence is running rampant, you want to blame Trump look a little deeper you might actually see the truth

seems like they only want to do so when it seems convenient
players want to honor their mother by wearing a pink headband or writing a message in their eye black, fined- DeAngelo Williams RB Pittsburgh Steelers
Honor the five police officers murdered in Dallas- cant do that
Honor the 15th anniversary of 9-11- cant do that
but Anti-American behavior that is spelled out in their own bi-laws are ignored- more hypocrites

    Trump gave his opinion
kind of like the "cops acted stupidly"
the govt is doing nothing to stop the owners from employing these people

I believe that this bent Trump has been leading you guys will soon fail.
The rest of the Nations people are getting fed up with it.
You seen just the tip of that on Sundays game openings

did you watch or see what is happening?
people are fed up with rules that only apply to certain people
to people defacing the country and its history
to people trying to destroy this nation
if anything its going to get worse before it get better
and like N. Korea, Trump didn't start this fight

Trumps egging you on, he's a instigator.
Trump wants to see you get in a fight, he won't bloody himself with one.

I don't know if all that is factual, but if it is, it their business, not mine. If I don't like it, I can always start my own football league (like Trump did, the NFL crushed him. Now it's making sense).

He called for their firing, because of their opinion. Slippery slope, at the very least.

Trump has said what a lot of people were thinking
the slide in rating and declines in revenue are proof enough
