Yellow | I quit

My wife will dump me somewhere. If I go first. She doesn't want me around afterwards either. As for med schools. They don't want me either. I am a donor but I've already had my whole colon removed. Oh. Maybe they would want me. Bad parts gone!
When I think it's time, I'm going out in the woods with a bottle of whiskey and a gun.

Donate your body to science or the local medical school, pathology division. It is free, no 8,000 dollar funeral, wilted flowers 5 days later, no motorcycle escort, headstone, plot, opening the grave fee. Just save your money, gift it to a close friend & throw one hell of a party. People will talk about the party long after you & it are gone. Nobody talks about a wonderful graveside burial. But they will talk about the wake of the century.
You're pushing me into Unemployment!!!!!

People are Dying for me to work! (i like your idea tho. Friend of mine doing that. He says IU won't take you if you're over 6' tall. I used to have to two-wheel deliveries for Yellow between the medical students working on cadavers at IU Medical School...)

You're going to waste a good bottle of whiskey for target practice? What's wrong with you? :hide:
I would hope he drinks it empty first. But go as far away as you can so nobody can find you. Especially your family. That's not something you want to share with them.
:emoticon digging:

Congratulations for standing up for yourself and making a move to make your life better. Good luck with your new job and report back on how it goes for you. Many feel locked in and are afraid to make the leap.

I would like to report back to you after putting in my 60
days at my new employer.
I truly could not be more happy. I wish I would have made the switch years ago because I feel like I wasted part of my life at Yrc.
I started out making over $1 more an hr. Top scale is over $4 more an hr. They contribute to my 401k. Today I drove a new Kenworth and new trailer on my peddle run.
Now being on the other side I hear how the customers really feel about Yrc. What an embarrassment.
I now work for one of the best run privately owned LTL trucking companies in the country that cares for their drivers and shows their appreciation regularly. It is a laid back environment w no ridiculous rules. Common sense took awhile to get use to but is so refreshing to see.
A person doesn't know what is behind the door until it's opened. For me, I'm so happy I took the leap. Yrc is a miserable place to work and it's too bad that more people can't experience what it's like to take the chance.

I left holland 19 mos ago after 18yrs was greatest ltl job I had till yrc came on and overpaid for us, I stayed for few years hoping to ride the ship then realized ship was slowly sinking. Was tough choice but my only regret now is I didn't leave earlier. My family, friends and Dr all say I'm much more like my old self before yrcw came along.

That's funny you say that because that's what everyone is telling me too. "You're happy again" is what I hear a lot. I didn't even realize it
