How fast are your trucks set up to run?
Do you have any new Volvo's?
What kind of trucks do you have?

Thanks for the info.

Update 11/21/09:
YRCW stock closes at 1.25 clams.
Still managing to hover outside the verge of Chapter 11...rats!
Driving jobs aplenty in the great-white-north if you're willing to live with 8 months of snow and ice conditions....jobs south of the 49th not so good.
So here's the rub.
As a Canuck I've had to live with and adapt to years of socialism in government and business. (Translated: TAXES up the yingyang)
You as Yanks on the other hand, with your weird combination of Nationalism and Individualism have managed to build the greatest and most powerful nation on the face of the earth.
How is it, all I see on this blog is doom and defeat?
How is it, you allow a minor Multinational entity like YRCW dictate your standard of living?
The one most important thing about being an American I've ALWAYS admired is your ability to be what ever you wanted to be if you were willing to work and fight for it!
Can you begin to grasp what that concept means to people in different countries around the world?
You might remember the old movie "Network" in which a national news announcer (Peter Finch) encouraged folks to stick their heads out the window and scream "I've had enough and I won't take any more".
What the hell happened to that kind of backbone?
You live in the greatest country on the face of the earth and yet as employees are willing let a leech like YRCW walk all over you....I just don't get it!
As sad and disappointing as it is, I guess it is time to reassess what it is to be the greatest of all citizens......"an American".

This forum is too depressing and too contrary to what I've always held true about the USA and it's people in general.

Sleep in the bed you make mates.

Cheers

GreatWhite, Most of us were here before YRCW. After 20 years, there is alot of remembering the good old days. Bestway, where I started was a great company, and Reddaway has a great history too. Your right, we should make more of our opportunites. I guess we just hope that there is a future for our once proud company. I think we can rebuild, but if not we will move forward to a new place. Most of us really like driving a truck, and we all know it can be better than it is now.
