What about the drivers? City drivers leaving for non union carriers at np
No cake for them.
#1 says new hire drivers will start at top MOU rate....and any drivers in the progression will be put to top MOU rate.
Top driver MOU rate at 02 is $21.777. So it looks like when a casual CDL city driver makes the list he goes right to that rate. Mechanics also get top MOU rate.....the questionable thing is....why are only SOME terminals getting the deal instead of all terminals.
I'm thinking this backfires. People don't want to come work for a YRC operated company those that have taken jobs here and are "new hires" will be able to work less OT due the pay increase making it even harder to move the freight. The answer is give something back to ALL employees especially those who have given so much to keep the doors open.
$21.83 is top rate at Phi YRC 152 still a disgrace but they had to do something or just go out of business! TOOK THEM LONG ENOUGH TO WAKE UP!!
Yep, thats WHY they can't hire nobody and freight sits for days & weeks ! Pretty sad when non-union has a higher pay scale !
22 losing customers, salesmen, pd , and office ppl. They hired a inbound super he didn't finish training. He lasted 2wks
Looks to me like Philly is getting work given to cartage right now.......and if we all get busy the same would happen imo...which is why I think the one rate deal may be a good thing...
But New Penn should give readings city freight back from Philly...It's obvious they can't handle it and customers will be lost, reputation ruined even more than it has been, freight lost and damaged.......put ego down and give our work back.
If the company doesn't do it...the bigshots in freight should be told that they are wasting our money with dum ideas and need to be pressured into giving it back. Before they come crying for more givebacks......management probably knows it's a bad idea letting Philly have the Reading freight.
They're giving some of Readings freight back to a very few of our drivers to deliver as an alternative to Philly using cartage....but the right way would be to admit it was wrong and give most all of it back.
the upper mgmt wont let the people closest to the problem try to solve it. they know better for you, screw it up, then fire your ass!!!!
Todays mgmt at np
HHMMMM, you talking about the two jokers in charge matching the two clowns staring in the movie? or every body else trying to help run the show, with the movie title?
