I believe if a driver is safe and has good driving habits this is a good thing. It can protect the driver and now days truck drivers need all the help he can get...

True, but you can't deny the fact that most carriers (Union and non) will 'pervert' these things into a dreadful weapon AGAINST the driver. I'm gonna bet that most drivers ARE safe operators. I'm glad I only have a few years until retirement. These tracking devices are unnerving. I'll continue to say...if a company wants to be successful (and profitable), they should LEAD their employees, not FOLLOW them.

Kansas City has been testing these for several months now. I've have had one in my city tractor during that time. It would take me a long time to explain how it works, but if someone has a question private message me and I can try to answer you.
