Every now and then you'll see an OD van find it's way on to a railcar among the legions of MultiModal vans, Union trailers and mega's. So it isn't unheard of, just uncommon.

OD puts stuff on the rail just in JB Hunt containers.

I was coming back from Jacksonville FL and I saw an OD container and chassis being pulled by a OD tractor

Last I knew we ran 6 empties out of FL for every load coming out. We do a lot of FL out of ATL, all the FL freight from 2/3 of the country gets dumped in there and we direct load as much of it as we can.

I think almost everybody does it that way, we've got a bunch of runs out of ATL to ORL.

I've had to deadhead out of Tampa with an empty set all the way to ATL in the past. There's nothing coming out of there.

Not much anymore. We got tired of late service and damages so they hired a bunch more teams and run NW freight from Chicago or relay it step by step to get it there.

Our company underwent a complete revamp of our linehaul system a few years ago. You will not see OD freight on the rail or on purchased transportation.

I'm sure there's a code that can be applied and everything will be fine.

Oh dear, no rail and no PT?
We have determined that is the secret of our success.
Surely you'll be out of business soon.

OD runs teams. That's how they compensate for not using rail or PTS.

Teams are an excellent idea on paper. In practice they can be difficult to find. Two people have to put up with each other for a week. Most truckers can't be around each other five minutes without complaining about something.

Yes, to a degree. But a lot of our long haul freight relays through our network. We load to the farthest break point and keep it moving.

I heard there could be a break up of the infamous Team BRG-Wong of CRST. Wong may join OD. Hmmm...the new team of the decade...Team Song-Wong......or would it be Wong-Song?? I dunno.....but I'm hungry for Chinese now for some reason...
