Italy dog frequent churchgoer since owner died

ROME - Since his owner died two months ago, Tommy the dog has not missed a single mass in the small church in southern Italy where his mistress's funeral was held, Italian media said Wednesday.

Poor guy's genuinely heartbroken. As much as I'd love to have a dog I just don't want the responsibility that goes with it. Cats are not such good friends but they do keep the rodents at bay and are easy to leave at home for a up to a week when I go away.

i saw this some months ago.

now, referring to cats, we had cats, one in particular, would wait till i was laying in the La-Z-Boy, jump up on the arm of the sofa, purr like all hell, till i "invited" him over, then he'd get on my belly, and try to fluff it up like a pillow......acupuncture at it's best...

that cat, was (to me) a good friend, he wouldn't fetch or do tricks that dogs could do, but he could open doors and get his can of food, and meow like a cop car siren, whenever i'd take him to the vet........all the way there...

then be as quiet as a mouse, on the way home.>!!!
