Drivers along Pearce Industrial Road and Old Finchville Road got an early taste of the slippery conditions winter may bring when a dump truck spilled diesel fuel along the roads Thursday morning.

Ricky Isham, the driver of the truck, owned by Rockit Trucking, Inc. of Elizabethtown, told officials at the scene he had unloaded material at a concrete plant on Old Finchville Road just after 7 a.m. and was headed back across the track when a car forced him to go partly off the road. He said the drop off the pavement tore his fuel line.

Isham drove the truck to the Arby's on Ky. 55 South. The diesel fuel slickened the Arby's parking lot, the Best Western parking lot as well as the intersection at Ky. 55 South and Pearce Industrial Road.
