If they are protesting to protect the environment, maybe they should lead by example?
Yeah like waiting until the drinking water is contaminated then try taking the oil company to court
No Sherlock. Shouldn't you always side with the one who's paying your salary?
I'm thinking that you pay no tax dollars, so what's your beef?
Speaking of forgetting your meds.
No, by not polluting. If you want to protest pollution, fine, but don't do it while you protest, sort of makes you look hypocritical.
I have some news for ya buddy...water company intakes are not on top of the water and they're not on the bottom of the water, they're somewhere in between so they don't get the that floats on top or the that sinks to the bottom. Oil floats on water. So...what's the beef?
Illegal to water your beef herd with oily water
Never herd of them putting a pipeline over ponds and such? Must be a new policy sharp guy.
The police here are paid for by my property tax
which I have to pay sorry to say.
But still if the Mayor called the police chief up and told him to go kick Magoo's ass
I'd have my ass kicked
It's under the Missouri river and the lake which all the towns and city's south of that point get their drinking supply.
And I'm sure some livestock have to drink it too.
There's already 31 pipelines crossing under the Missouri River, what's so different about this one, other than the fact that it will actually be safer than the older ones since it will be buried much deeper under the bed.
When problems happen and people have to go without, the usual coarse of events is the responsible party hides and stalls and does not show and concern for the residents.
I have no Stocks or investments in the pipe line, let them go to hell.
It's good that you know that, it'll help keep you in line!
And there are 2.5 million miles of pipeline traversing the country.
You live on OPM. It's impossible for you to pay taxes, you just shuffle funds.
No response about the hypocrisy of the protesters, huh? What a suprise, not even a meme? Your running out of lies and wind, huh?
I have nothing against Native Americans (aka Indians), but has any of you out there ever driven through an Indian Reservation anywhere? While there ARE some Indians that respect nature and avoid pollution as much as possible, the vast majority of the residents on these reservations just dump garbage anywhere, junk cars, refrigerators, TVs, fish guts, abandoned houses (stripped of all copper pipes) are everywhere. I live a few miles from a reservation and I see it all the time when I take a "short cut" to get from point "A" to point "B". Some reservation Indians work, but most don't, preferring to live on food stamps and welfare stipends from the Fed and state gov't, Whatever happened to their motto of being the "caretakers of nature". The Indians of North and South Dakota at the pipeline site are nothing but hypocrites when they say they are concerned about pollution. They are nothing more than paid protesters, paid by the lefty liberals. If they are so concerned about pollution, maybe they should start with their own property and stop just pitching garbage out the front door of their own houses.
I not only lived near a reservation, but I grew up with them and many of them are still lifelong friends. And I even married one. We even have a few "papooses" together. (Wife and kids are all card holding Native Americans.)
Don't worry, you didn't offend me with your comments about the reservations, because you were spot on accurate.
I get my cheap gas on the rez by Irving ny. Trashy places all over.
