Last man out

Its my Friday, I show last @ 1800, I get to Norman and things aren't going well, a bunch of selectors called in sick, they were really short staffed, they had me pulling a single on both trips, after waiting till 2330 the wheels started to turn and I asked our spotter if I could just wait on my second trailer, since I was so late, had I gone back to T-town with the one hook and came back for the other, one of our drivers would have been 2 hrs late starting his route, so I waited, then the warehouse mgr gave me an earlier Tulsa trailer to get me out, I wound up getting an early weekend out of the deal, clocked out at 0345 as opposed to 0730.

Now I'm getting the jist of this whole deal, being the late guy on Thursday night may not be so bad.
