ftar08. I am in the southern conference and have my old contract book fom last contract. On page 180 on the bottom.Article 53 holidays."A regular employee on layoff status shall be paid 8 hours for holiday pay in the event the holiday occurs during the first 30 day period that he/she/is on layoff status whether or not any work is performed" maybe one of your stewards can clarify this as I am not sure which part of the country you are in. hopes this helps some.

As of Sunday, November 30, 2008...

CVE/RFO Layoffs...

Road- Stayed the same at 94 laid off!

Dock/Yard-Whacked another 25! 88 now laid off!

City-Whacked 3 more! 18 now laid off!

Rumor has it the dock/yard might take another big whack the end of this week!

I heard the dock at RFO was backed up this morning (Tuesday)! Not very good production going on with a lot of laid off road drivers that bumped over working on the dock!
