Layoffs are starting early this fall at 211-Akron, OH with 2 city bids being eliminated, and 5 dock bids. Freight has NOT been slow, but management appears to be starting the "we're poor" campaign since contract talks will be starting soon. Also wondering why the 211 Distribution Center Manager is spending 3 weeks in 830-Bloomington, CA? What kind of trouble are they having out there in 830?

Not trying to bash another company but a SAIA driver in Atlanta told me the top 60 men on seniority have been forced on a 4 day work week.Not the bottom 60.
Lots more to consider besides hourly rate IMO.

How much do you Akron guys get for training new drivers only a few hours extra pay? 309 trainers get paid a La Crosse turn each way paid 620 miles!
