well i had to re-read this article.
yes, it is asinine to say the least.
however, he was trying to get away. he was no longer a threat to anyone.
as soon as someone tried to stop him, he shoots....
now i do not want to see him get anything, as that would "make crime pay", and that is wrong.
but, escaping and coming towards you are 2 different things.
one IS going to cause harm.
one IS trying to get away with out further harm.
try shooting someone in your house, coming at you...
you may very well get away with it.
shoot him in the back, as he's leaving (making an escape) and YOU face charges.....
that's the way it is here in my area...
