Hmmmmm. Maybe all of those people that are flooding their state from across the border aren't the "best and brightest" after all.

I would rather see the entire state leave the union, but if it's just the elitist hypocrites that separated themselves from the "normal" Commiefornians that would at least benefit the normal people in that state. It wouldn't help the rest of us any though.
The Fox and Friends guest is correct though, maybe it's time to start pushing the GOP agenda out there. For decades, it hasn't been worth the bother.

The normal people in Commiefornia need to start a revolution.......including violence if that's what it takes to get their voices back.

Yep. Just like in New York, the Liberals control all of the metros and hold all of the power.

"Liberal vs Conservative" and all that Jazz is just a diversion from the real issue across all of America, which is the increasingly absolute control of capital by a tiny oligarch.

My politics? I want to see an American trucker, who lives in his truck 24/7 and is away from home most of the year making $150K a year. That's the best thing that could happen to America, politics wise.

If a truck driver was worth $150k per year we would make $150k per year. The market decides the value of a worker.
(At $150k per year, more could afford a bar of soap.)

    calculations from website measuringworth.com

In 1978, the relative wage or income worth of $150,000.00 from 2016 is:

    $43,900.00 using the unskilled wage
$36,500.00 using the Production Worker Compen

Maybe some old time truckers from 1978 can chime in and say whether or not they made $44k as a trucker in 1978. I bet many did.

Whether they smelled better back then is another question. Irish Spring soap bars came out in the 1970s, so...

If I remember correctly (and it was 40 years ago) scale was around $11 an hour in that era. I suppose it was possible to make that kind of money then, but doubtful.
    I know I didn’t.

I was running linehaul for a large LTL company, made maybe $28k working 60+ hours a week. Don't think I smelled any better, those diet pills I got from my fat girlfriend made me perspire a lot.

In 1978, truck drivers were not making no 44k per year. No chance.

If you want to compare the value of a $28,000.00 in 1978. In 2016 (dollars) the relative:

labor value of that commodity is $95,700.00 (using the unskilled wage) or $115,000.00 (using production worker compensation)
income value of that commodity is $152,000.00
