Since when has our contract stopped UPS from doing whats in their best interest?
That's so true omegaman. They violate the contract daily, especially with not using the extra board. Instead the contractors are running over half the freight while the extra board is forced to sit at home.
They are basically using the contractors over ratios to off-set what they pay the unionized road drivers. Old company tactics the teamsters let UPS manipulate time and again. I feel sorry for the new hires and low seniority drivers this affects. It was almost a financial death march for me to get where I am today with UPSF. Pays off if you can get thru it and most aren't willing. I understand as I woundn't have stayed if they were hiring like now. Teamsters need to enforce the contract language they negotiated.
Our BA is a worthless POS. Hopefully guys are tired of getting runs cut and will vote accordingly in the next election.
How many grievances are being filed daily on subcontractors/runaround?
If so are guys winning then on local level or is it going to bi state committee/ JAC?
Grievances were filed on the previous and present contract. Violations still happen, grievances still filed and nothing corrected. Good grief, my fathers "Teamsters "would never allow this injustice to happen to dues paying members.
I guess toilet papere has never been on the cross Bronx express I - 95.
Matter of fact I have its been a long time ago. That being said the vast majority of the country doesn't have to deal with that s hole therefore maybe you should try to get the contract changed to benefit your situation. We should never cut the throats of a brother simply to benefit ourselves it's called a brotherhood for a reason.
That would have to be negogiated AND voted on by the members....KK
