I used to run team out of Knoxville, went out on FMLA and couldn't come back in time. I'm looking at trying to get rehired as a single driver. In KNX or Greeneville, Tn. that would probably mean up to Harrisburg then stay in Northeast all week. My only grandchild lives in Marietta, plus KNX and GVL aren't hiring right now.

How often do road drivers from Atlanta (website says they are hiring in all 3 Atlanta terminals) end op in Jersey or New England?

I've run extra for years. Extraboard out of Atlanta mostly runs Florida .
There's times you might end up in New Jersey but it's rare. Maybe once or twice a year but I'd bet money you'll never see those parts.

Thanks for the reply, mildew. My wife isn't able to return to trucking, so I'm looking at single linehaul. Northeast isn't a good place to run. That makes the Atlanta terminals look pretty attractive.

I'd rather run the northeast than frequent the Atlanta area.

do you think it could be the overly aggressive drivers in ny/nj or boston areas?

My experience is the northeast runs are time consuming(sometimes work 12+ hours and not get 500 miles) due to traffic and short terminal hops.I dont think the northeast has a monopoly on aggressive drivers, its everywhere these days.

Yes. One is primarily used for west bound break freight and the other for regional break and local p+d.
