Police turn routine traffic stops into cavity searches

.........................Over the course of 12 hours last January, Eckert was forced to receive an X-ray, CT scan, digital rectal exam, three enemas and a colonoscopy under anesthesia, according to his complaint filed in federal court this week. Eckert says the officers laughed at him at times while he was undergoing the procedures at Gila Regional Medical Center, the same hospital where Young was taken.Like Young, Eckert was also billed for the procedures — this time for $6,000.

I'm sure the chief of police told these dumb cops to bring a package and place it up there, next time don't comeback empty handed
Can you imagine the heat the department is getting?
What even you have to fear is getting on some cops wrong side and they plant something on you, after all how hard would that be?

So let me get this straight the cops forced this search at the hospital found nothing and then billed the victim for a search that they didn't consent to?

Read the article thats what they said.
If it were me I would sue the Hospital for torture and own the place.
Doctors should not be doing the 'dirty" work for the cops

That sure is a lot of money ...to search one dude for freaking drugs...lol. I wonder how much money it would cost us tax payers "if they found something in his arse" it will cost 10 mil in law suits or, 9.5 mil for jail....lol

Freaking stupidity..... Some guy trying to kill himself with drugs, and I gotta pay millions of dollars "either way"

I feel so safe...protect me from one dope gUy, for a small loan from China.

    Puff....puff

Is this an invasion of a persons privacy? Yes it is. Is this moving toward a police state? Yes it is. Is this a result of Government gaining more power over civilians? Yes it is! Is getting control over peoples medical records all part of this? Yes it is! If you were any kind of Democrat, you would not be tolerating this. But as time goes on "Innocent until proven guilty" becomes nothing but a fond memory kinda like Constitutional rights.

So when can we expect you to end your worship of a president who is into totalitarianism?

(Place meaningless mind numbed robot comment here including blaming it on Bush)

It's all been with us since when ?
I don't know maybe the ricco laws or the later war on drugs who knows but we haven't had any real security from this kind of stuff for a long time.

Well at least for this poor fellow let the medical records go forth and announce he's got a clean colon

Hey lets just blame Bush and move on

of course Barry did say this:

"As president, Barack Obama would revisit the PATRIOT Act to ensure that there is real and robust oversight of tools like National Security Letters, sneak-and-peek searches, and the use of the material witness provision."

under Barry's watch it has gotten worse, but that is ok, it is for your protection

It sounds like the war on drugs is just about as effective as the war on poverty.

I'd own those idiots for popping my can like that.
