Don't tell me I know nothing about it I witnessed it first hand! Shortly after the purchase an awful lot of drivers lost their jobs because of the lack of work! And it was shortly after that New Century started to cry poverty! I'm not filling anyone's head with BS we've all lived thru it! And yes shortly after the purchase the treatment of the drivers went down hill! I may not know the inside management facts but I surely know and experienced enough facts from a drivers point of view!!!!!!!!!!!

It's over johnny..................and it's over for all you schmucks that voted for the union...all the schmucks that voted against the union...and all the kool ade drinking schmucks in the office that are out of work now, also. The worst is for the office folks who had nothing to do with life at the counter and the road drivers who should have had a vote too. Ownership/senior management can go f**k him/them selves. Me? I'm going fishing, everyday if i want...my track shoes and knee pads are in the friggin trash, thank goodness. Life is no longer owned by a trucking company or a mentally challenged dispatcher. Lets all get together somewhere and have one helluva cook out and beer bust! F*****g a!!!

NCT assumed 7million in operational debt plus a lease on a building they had no use for.....and CARLA worked there.....A family favor!!!!!

Union had nothing to do with the closing, they were soooo much in debt BEFORE the union even became a thought. They were moving freight at a loss just to fill the trucks. Spoke to an ABF salesman who is a freind of mine ...they couldn't compete with the LTL pricing...

yup, it was common knowledge that the buying of PnP had to do with a family member...it was never about being a smart business move. Houdini at his best. Remember talking to one of the better dispatchers about how we shouldn't have been booking 1 or 2 skid orders for actual weight. H told them to take everything. dispatcher was hoping we would only move 4 pallet or larger shipment 's that would fit NCT business and operational model better for profitability. never happened...oh well, whats it called now...New Jevic Tansportation...with the same old tired mngmnt team and their same old ways.... "THE NEW JEVIC WAY"...."pop" time for a brew

Union life. Think about the economy. The Great Recession started in October 2007. Every company in the world experienced the effects.
Unemployment numbers went thru the roof.
Layoffs were everywhere. The trucking industry had record bankruptcies the next three years, each year was worse.
The country was close to going broke. In fact, the world economy was a mess. What part don't you get ???????
    Lack of work ????? No **** !!!!!
    Just the facts

FACTS? so with the economy busting in 07/08...you spend every dime you got from jefferies...60 million. real long range plan there. you buy WF and right away replace every tractor. build new fuel island in denver. spend spend spend. PnP a man who owns a 7000 truck TL carrier told me once you never buy a company that is doing badly....you'll get all of their liabilities, half the customers will go elsewhere, half the drivers will leave or be let go, dead weight mngmnt will be just that, dead weight. you wait till they close, then you go after the freight and not all the negative bs, leave that for the BR court. and NCT plan...don't buy one loser...buy 3....now theres a business model for failure...and that is a fact...isn't it.

June 29 2007 was the day NCT acquired P&P And yes it was a family matter! What part don't you get! Right in the middle of the Great Recession as you put it we purchase another company with a building we didn't need drivers most of whom we're let go makes a lot of sense ! Just the facts my ass! And yes most of the management that NCT had to hire on due to contracts or how about family members that were pulled in on apron strings started the total disrespect for the drivers. So I'm anxiously awaiting anymore facts you may have. Cause up to now I'm not impressed!

There shpuld be a more balanced system of justice in this country.
When a driver makes mistakes which barelly cost anything it goes on our record. Yet when decisions are made which sink whole companies and hurt lots of people is there even a record?

The banks and big bankers who loaned them the money, the bigshot bosses or owners who made the mistakes which sunk it............
They too should have to carry "records" of "accidents"/mistakes they have made.
No more running businesses for awhile and no more loans should come with the records they should carry.
Just like it not being easy for a driver to get another job with marks on the CDL.

Welcome to America...Guys like Terry G. probably had personal services contract with Jefferies...walked away with big payoff package....will move on to next project...he did his job...bankrupt NCT.. investors off the hook for millions in loans...if we did same thing with our finances with would be charged with fraud...it doesn't matter which political party runs the country...its business as usual.

And the banks who loaned the money and didnt get paid back will just change their name after they go down.
Too bad we cant all just change our name with clean record.
    Its a BS country.

He went to FFE trucking in Burlington Twp on Dulty's lane. He's even buying a house in the Jerry's Run development off of Columbus Rd I've been told.
