    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/mccain-condemns-half-baked-spurious-nationalism-speech-n811361

To abandon the ideals we have advanced around the globe, to refuse the obligations of international leadership for the sake of some half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems is as unpatriotic as an attachment to any other tired dogma of the past that Americans consigned to the ash heap of history."

He did not mention President Donald Trump by name,
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds vaguely familiar, what do you think?

The "ash heap of history" he was referring to,.......probably was National Socialist Germany,......where it was fine to persecute minorities,......shut down newspapers because they printed "fake" news about the government,......and insist that all True Citizens march in patriotic lockstep........because, according to their Leader,.....he was the most ethical politicial Leader of the time,.....and he did not make mistakes,.....he said, anyway. He was real good at finding scapegoats.......

Yeah, it does sound Vaguely Familiar,........but,.........hey, it'll never happen here. Demogogues are more Ethical, nowadays.......

Ask people how many History books they read,......and you'll get: " Books? Are you kidding? I haven't read a book since high school!".......

And then you get an idea why people don't comprehend History and it's complexities,......other than the pre-digested pablum they get off the History channel........what they can squeeze in between commercials..........

I can't stand Populism, which is rooted in Marxism. The Populist Worker'sParty ran for Prez in 1892 and 1896. They lost;, no one in the USA wanted Marxism except Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt. And National Populists share many of the things of the National Socialist Workers Party, so obviously, since I'm against Marxism, Communism, Facism (Basically, like Obama ordering the economy around thru bureaucratic regulations and executive orders instead of laws), I'm against Nationalism and Populism like the part of Democrat Donald that I don't like. Trump cares about the economy, the military, and immigration. On everything else hes a N.Y. Liberal Democrat....

All that becomes missed tho, when it comes from Cross the Aisle to join the Democrats John Mccain....

    John McCain is scum.
His ideals have brought us nothing but $20 trillion in debt. He has not made us strong...but has made us weak......all for his own power, glory, and money...................he is the opposite of nationalist for sure...He is a corporate globalist scumbag.
I guess no Muslim groups are scapegoats to Mr Scum McCain?
How many trillions have we spent on that scapegoat? for Mr McCain and his Zionist buddies?
His types have sold out our jobs to the world for cheap slave labor for his pig buddies at our people expense.
His ideal are not for Americans but for himself and his rich buddies around the world.

As our youth lost their futures and the old lose their pensions, and the masses lost their healthcare for his types globalist ideals...in lala land....he just uses the youthful bodies to further his own ego and build the bank accounts of his donors...many of whom are dual citizens....he deserves exile for treason...not a military medal...his type has sold out our nation and he disgusts me. He is a murderous PIG.

Never was America to be a builder of Empire...and that is exactly what McCain and his Zionist and Zionist puppet NEOCON buddies have done...Used us for their own agenda,,,,whilst many have lost a lot of the things that made America great.......He should go live in Israel...That is who he serves....get out and stay out!
His type have ruined this country for decades....and we voted THEM OUT!!!!! Get out and stay out!!!!!!

And now he uses the people who want to believe in this nation as a scapegoat.....the people who voted Trump in.....We are now the scapegoat....maybe he'd like to bomb us and kill us by the hundreds of thousands with our own money as he has done all over the Middle East.

The Nationalist Populist group that joined with the Repubs to elect Trump were Dissafected Democrats, Mags. Dems, who felt your/their Party deserted them, by your leadership wanting Marxism, instead of Americanism. YOU elected Trump, by running Hillary as your candidate. Look who supports him. Union members, left by Obama/Hillary to rot, once they had power.....

There were a lot of "Disaffected Democrats" who were horrified over Mr. Trump's nomination, and didn't vote for him. Good , valid point about disaffected voters,........Whatever their motive, or criteria,......they did vote for Mr. Trump.

You can argue up or down about what factors motivated that vote,........Fake internet news, frustration with gridlock, poor knowledge of how government works, distaste for Mrs. Clinton.......Distaste for Mr. Obama.......

Bottom line,.....for good or ill,.......Time Will Tell,...........We would hope Mr. Trump's motives aren't as narcissistic as they seem to be. Having read his book, and watching Mr. Trump's various business and social dealings over the last twenty or so years,.......I don't have very high expectations. Mr. Trump has always been an inspired opportunist. He's switched political parties, positions, and wives often enough that his core convictions can't be nailed down by anyone.

At the end of his four year term,....(or sooner...)..........some of the most virulent Trump supporters on here,....may be calling for his head on a pike. Mr. Trump is perfectly capable of completely switching his positions and selling out his core at the drop of a hat.

Personally,....I hope it doesn't happen. The disenchantment that will occur if Mr. Trump sells out his base,......will sour the electorate for years,........and cause most people to feel their vote is a waste, no matter who is running.

That,......would only solidify Big Business' hold on our political process,....and make it "cheaper" for them,.........They would have a much smaller group of voters to trick into voting their way...........

Read a current history book and compare it to what was in the history books you learned from. You might be surprised to find how much has been changed and/or removed. You can argue that some had to be " Corrected " but there is also a good argument that politics plays a role in some of it.

    If Trump were a Nazi?
where is the wall- waiting for congress to appropriate the funds for
where are the tax cuts- waiting for congress to put the bill together
where is the repeal of BarryCare- waiting for congress
see Nazis just do things they don't wait for the proper branch of government to do their job lets say like um Barry did with
No funding mechanism for Barry Care, write an EO which was ruled illegal that Trump undid (following the law again how "Nazish") and sending to congress where it was supposed to be
or writing DACA instead of having congress pass a law (see above to get Trumps reaction to that illegal thing)

See, the Nazi left office in January

Trump is a mirror of the narcisstic Obama, pendulum swinging. If you liked how Obama 'ruled', you should love Trump.

A: there aren't any Nazis or Racists in the White House. The Black Racists term ran out.

B: Almost anything would be better government than the Marxist who was there for 8 years, and his Marxist wanna-be Replacement

McCain needs to shut up and/or die, whichever comes first. If he chooses to keep yappin' I have to hope that dying comes soon.

Trump seems like the most un-articulate speaker that I can ever remember. He's actually awful when he goes off message. He's definitely a narcissist, and talks in circles. He's flip-flopped on several issues already, from one day to the next. It appears as though he has no core principles either, since he's all across the board from one day to the next.
There is just one fact left though........The Democrats left us no choice after they narrowed their candidates down to the most crooked politician in history and a washed up old Socialist.

The Democrat Party gave us a President Trump out of default.

About the only accomplishment that Trump has so far is the Supreme Court Judge. Other than that, he is handcuffed by his own party that begged for the Senate, House, and Presidency, and what have we got in return? Not much.
